The Gateway Recovery Ministry provides a safe, stable, and structured living environment for men struggling with addiction while fostering a deeper relationship with God through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Our recovery model is built on three key elements: the supportive community of the local body of Christ, a strong foundation of accountability and responsibility, and the transformative principles of 12-step programs. Our ultimate mission is to restore men to a meaningful place in society and equip them to become disciples of Jesus, prepared to share the gospel message of hope, healing, forgiveness, and recovery.

Gateway Recovery Ministry is a residential sober living program for men. We assist residents in the transition from prison or drug/alcohol treatment programs for re-entry into our communities, work, and families. We provide a safe and stable living environment conducive to a life beginning in recovery. We are a mission of Gateway Christian Church, a multi-site model church with the main campus being in Saint Albans, WV.

We believe the church can have an impact on the nature of addiction here in West Virginia and Gateway is committed to those who are suffering from addiction and alcoholism. We believe that alcoholism and addiction are chronic, progressive, and fatal diseases. We believe that through Christ all people can be restored. We also believe the 12-steps programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are spiritual programs that can aid in the restoration journey.
