CONNECTIONS Small Groups

Our CONNECTIONS small groups are groups of eight or more people who meet on Sunday afternoons and on Wednesday evenings to connect with others on their faith journey and go deeper into God's word by discussing the previous Sunday message.

Why Small Groups?

Jesus led a group of twelve (Mark 3:13; John 2:12)

The early church met as groups in homes (1 Corinthians 16:19; Acts 20:20; Colossians 4:15;Acts 2:42-47)

Small groups provide the ideal place for true Christian fellowship (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

So many people think that all there is to church is just taking their place in a seat on a Sunday morning. But there is so much more than that to being a follower of Christ. That’s where small groups enter the picture. No matter what size church, the believers that make up that church need a place where they feel connected to God and other people. Small groups provide a place where people can “do life” together. Being involved in a small group gives us the opportunity to encourage one another and remind each other that we each matter to God. And small groups exist to help us show that we matter to each other, in good times and in bad times. Finally, small groups give us a place of spiritual challenge and accountability that will help us become who God desires for us to be in Christ.

Here at Gateway, CONNECTIONS small groups are the primary place where connections with God and other believers grow and flourish. If you are intrerested in joining a group, we offer groups in Teays Valley on Sunday afternoons & Wednesday evenings as well as at our St. Albans facility on Wednesdays at 6:45. Contact the church office for more details. Note: Children's and Student Ministry is offered only at our St. Albans campus on Wednesdays.
