Share the Vision  is the name of the campaign we launched in December 2005 to raise additional capital funds for the expansion and extension of our church.  The Lord has blessed our church with spiritual and numerical growth over the years and we believe He will continue to do so as we strive to do His work in our area.   Please pray for our leaders, our staff, and our people as we serve God together.

 

Phase 1 - Courtyard Project  (click here to see pictures of the project)

The courtyard addition has added 100 new seats to our sanctuary, 3 new restrooms, much needed baptistery changing areas, and an entire new Children’s Ministry floor of 2,300 s.f.!   We are excited about the potential for growth with this new space.  We are thankful for everyone who helped with the project in any way, but especially for Charlie Bias for all the hours of electrical work he donated. This addition cost us $250,000 and is completely paid for.

 

Phase 2 – C Street Parking Lot  (click to see pictures of the parking lot construction)

As of January 2008 our new parking lot on the lower level C street property is 95% completed and the old white office/storage building has been removed.  A new smaller storage building was erected in the fall to help with our storage needs.  Also, to make room for the new building, our church sign has been moved to the entrance of the new lot.  A big thanks to Burl Bess, Steve Ramsey, and Jim Justice for doing this project.  This new lot adds about 60 new spaces to replace what we'll lose once we build our new sanctuary on the existing B street lot.    

 

 

Phase 3 – Off Site Extension(s)

Our short-term (5 years or less) future plans also include extending our reach into the Teays Valley area, or some other location of our region when we are ready to do so.  Multiple studies have shown that new church plants or venues have more success in reaching lost people than do established churches.  Our goal is only to reach as many people with the gospel as we can while we can.  We feel that both on-site expansion and off-site extension, also known as multi-site, campuses are the way we can do this with God’s help.  With figures from churches who are already doing multi-site, we estimate our first launch to cost between $75,000 and $100,000.

 

Phase 4 - New Sanctuary Addition  (click to see pictures of the ground breaking)

Plans are to add a free standing 700 seat sanctuary with entrances all around and a hallway connection to our existing building.  This building is planned to be 145’ x 125’ and will provide multi-functional space for worship and fellowship, a few extra multi-functional rooms, and additional restrooms.  Pray for our leaders and our Expansion Team of volunteers as we move into the future with great anticipation.
